Tilman Billing, political scientist, Germanist and communications scientist (M.A., Freie Universität Berlin) is a top executive coach, media trainercrisis communication advisor and keynote speaker.

Moderator, reporter for radio, online and TV, educated at ARD German television, he wrote for publications such as Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (F.A.Z.), Frankfurter Rundschau, Berliner Zeitung and Tagesspiegel. As an investigative journalist for top-ranking ARD & ZDF television news magazines such as Frontal, Fakt, Plusminus, Report Mainz and Panorama, he dueled with mega-corporations such as Deutsche Bank AG, Deutsche Bahn AG and Citigroup. He interviewed countless managers and major politicians such as Angela Merkel and Olaf Scholz. As TV director he filmed in Paris, Vienna, Oslo, Amsterdam and Istanbul.

In 2005 he founded Tilman Billing Communications, from 2005-2019 he managed the Center for Leadership Communication Berlin – Asmus & Billing Kommunikation together with the leadership expert Frank Asmus. Billing has developed communication concepts for change processes and crisis communication and successfully guided PR campaigns for the Federation of German Industries (BDI).

He is the founder & CEO of Stagerockers.de – the digital rhetoric and presentation platform for specialists and executives.

His clients are DAX corporations, head organizations, startups and prominent mid-sized businesses. The ZDF director conducts inhouse seminars for leaders on varying hierarchic levels, provides media, moderation and camera training to sales, PR and marketing teams as well as training in rhetoric, body language and outstanding presentations. He coaches executives, organization directors and entrepreneurs for inhouse and public appearances, including those in the most important German TV formats, from the most well-known talk shows to the German version of “Dragons Den’” to the news programs from ARD, RTL and ZDF.

As the sole Germany presentation expert and media coach, the Süddeutsche Zeitung selected Tilman Billing to speak at the SZ Wissensforum. He has already taught at the Goethe University – Frankfurt am Main, the Hasso Plattner Institute at the University of Potsdam, the HTWG Konstanz – University of Applied Sciences, the Haufe Akademie, the Sparkassenakademie NRW, at Management Circle and at the Berlin School of Economics and Law.
